Eating at home
Here are some ideas to help you source the best produce locally and ethically.
The Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen, a shopper's guide to pesticides in produce

Certain non-organic fruit and vegetables are more prone to remaining toxic even after you have washed and peeled them, due to having a thinner skin or a convoluted surface that will 'trap' the pesticides .
If you cannot afford to buy organic only produce, take a look at the Environmental Working Group's Dirty Dozen, which lists the 12 fruits and vegetables that contain the highest concentrations of pesticides.
The Clean Fifteen is a list of 15 fruits and vegetables that contain the fewest concentrations of pesticides, which the EWG believes are the safest foods to buy conventionally.
